Shaft fitting with Flightscope

An added advantage with flightscope is we are able to see how the club head accelerates through impact and also how the head gains club head speed on the downswing. If the head does not gain speed uniformly on the downswing this will have a negative impact on the result, both in distance terms and direction. The shaft can be the reason for this - not the user, thus by simply changing the shaft can change the overall performance of the club.

With Drivers an important component in the quest for distance is controlling the spin on the ball. The shafts play a very important role in the control of spin, and therefore the overall distance achieved.

 Shaft fitting screen

The graph at the top left of the screen shot plots the clubhea speed profile. The ideal shape of the graph should be as displayed - a smooth almost straight line.

The bottom left graph is a 3D image of the path of the clubhead through impact. This view is looking down from the top. The swing shown displays a very good in - to square - to in swing path.

Other values shown are DCOR (dynamic coeficient of restitution), direction of strike, vertical strike angle, ball speed, club heaad speed.
