This page is here to highlight the success stories of clients that have used the coaching facilities on offer at Poulton Golf Club. Looking back over the past couple of seasons the results are based on either handicap reductions or tournament results.

 

 

 

Chris is pictured here pointing to his placing in his first competition after a series of winter lessons. His score of 65 left him in second position, the week after he carded a 67 for a 4th place. Chris started the season on 23 and in his first 2 competitions reduced it to 20.

 

Ian is pictured in one of his tamer pairs of pants. Ian's handicap mid way through 2009 was 17, and down to a lot of work has reduced his handicap to 12 (sept10). Ian has recently won a golfing trip to Turkey and is currently taking part in a winter coaching program, the aim is to be playing in single figures by the end of next year. Ian finished 6th in the order of merit.

 

 

 

Simon is pictured playing in Portugal looking at another drive down the middle! Simon has not had any formal lessons but has benefited from having his clubs and ball choice custom fit for his game. This year has seen Simon change his driver and ball to gain more length of the tee and control around the greens. Simon has reduced his handicap from 5.4 to 3.9, he also won the order of merit along with many other club titles.

 

 

 

Scott is pictured being presented with his course record card of 68. Scott was custom fit for irons and his driver at the start of the year and has lowered his handicap yet again, over 2 seasons Scott has seen his handicap reduced from 6 to 2.6. Along with his course record Scott has collected many titles.

 

 

 

 

Over the winter of 2010 16 golfers took part in a winter coaching program. The aim was to work with groups of golfers every two weeks for two hours. This intensive approach I am hoping will produce some significant improvements over the 2011 season. Below are the golfers who signed up for the program with their starting handicap, I will update their progress on a month by month basis.
